On March 10, 2010, Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL), an Alliant Energy company, filed an electric rate case with the Iowa Utilities Board (IUB).
The request to change rates is necessary to recover the costs of investing in a sustainable energy future for the benefit of our electric customers.

Minnesota
On May 7, 2010, Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL), an Alliant Energy company, filed with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) a request to adjust its Minnesota electric customers' rates.
The request is necessary to recover the costs of more than $1 billion of investments in renewable energy, emissions reductions at existing power plants and to enhance the safety and reliability of our company’s energy infrastructure for the benefit of customers over the past five years. This is our first request to adjust Minnesota electric rates since 2005.

Wisconsin
On April 30, 2010, Wisconsin Power and Light Company (WPL), a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE:LNT), filed two requests with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) that will impact electric rates and electric retail customers.
One request is to adjust WPL retail electric rates, effective January 1, 2011 – our 2011 Electric Rate Case. A second request is to implement a rate adjustment based on projected fuel costs for the remainder of 2010 – our 2010 Fuel-Only Rate Case.
