Company completes heating upgrade, realizes cost and energy savings
Cedar Rapids, IA -January 5, 2009 - Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company (GMRC) employs 530 people in their Grinnell office and recently received a custom rebate check from Interstate Power & Light Company (IPL), an Alliant Energy company for their proactive efforts in reducing their energy usage. Installation of ten new natural gas boilers that replaced ten older less efficient boilers was recently completed. Alliant Energy's custom rebate program is available to commercial users and GMRC received a rebate check of $6,965 for upgrading to more energy efficient boilers.
