Three Alliant Energy communities join Main Street program
March 4, 2008 – Four Iowa communities were selected to join the Main Street Iowa program, including three in the Alliant Energy service territory: Belle Plaine, Mount Vernon and Washington.
For more than 20 years, the Main Street Iowa program and its communities have been looked upon as the “best of the best” in a national effort to revitalize downtowns across the country. The addition of these communities brings the total number in Iowa to 39.
