Best Communities for Young People in Alliant Energy territory
January 24, 2008 – Four Alliant Energy-served areas are among the winners of the 2008 100 Best Communities for Young People (100 Best) competition. The America’s Promise Alliance and Capital One competition identifies cities and towns nationwide that have made the well-being of children and youth a top priority. In its third year, 100 Best spotlights communities that find unique and effective ways to ensure their young people receive the resources necessary to stay in school and succeed.
Communities in the Alliant Energy service territory recognized on this year’s list include Ames, Dubuque and Storm Lake/Buena Vista County, Iowa and Crawford County, Wisconsin. Details about these winning communities can be found at http://www.americaspromise.org/MediaPlay.aspx?id=9822.
